Inclusive Circus Coordinator & Instructor
MISSIONS
Reporting to the director and/or pedagogical coordinator, the inclusion coordinator will work as part of the pedagogical team and will have the following responsibilities:
- Supervision of circus workshops for all ages in the circus school or as part of off-site activities (southern Ardèche region),
- Coordination of Circus for differently abled people : inclusion of pupils in regular workshops and training courses, and regular workshops with local medical-educational structures (association participation in the PARI university research project on disability).
- Logistics in conjunction with the technical manager: preparation and installation of equipment required for interventions.
- Participation in the organization of events and certain tasks linked to the running of the association.
APPLICANT PROFILE
Fluent French (written, spoken)- At least 3 years' experience in the field of éducation for differently abled / disabled audiences ("éducateur spécialisé" or equivalent), with validated training and diploma, is highly desirable.- At least 2 years' experience as a circus activity supervisor is also highly desirable.This experience must be validated by a circus arts coaching diploma (France : TIAC or BPJEPS activités du cirque), or at least by a diploma attesting to skills in the socio-educational field.- We prioritize skills and abilities related to supervising the public: animation techniques, supervision of specific audiences (disabled, young people in difficulty), taking into account the specificities of audiences and contexts, dynamism, ability to work as part of a team, rigor and organization.- Artistic sensibility- Driving license required
CONTEXT
L'Art d'en Faire is a circus arts school founded in 2008 on the principles and values of popular education, which welcomes all audiences in the southern Ardèche region. Part of its actions are in line with a social circus approach, and are carried out in partnership with local authorities and stakeholders in the educational, social and socio-medical sectors. As part of its circus school, the association is recruiting a member of its permanent team to supervise workshops, participate in the day-to-day running of the circus school, and provide training for differently abled /disabled audience.
CONDITIONS
- The circus school is based in Joyeuse (Ardèche) and performances take place within a 40 km radius.
